This just struck me as a view you don't see every day. Thought I would share for the Firebird guys. Its a stock 1973 Firebird with a 350. Every major component you see will be replaced with aftermarket and fabricated items. Thats why the car was taken apart this way. Kinda cool.

that's like a star trek enterprise saucer separation.. for those star trek fans out there..

are they going to use the subframe with the extensions that mount between the body and the spring perch? with frame rails inside the stock locations to the back panel?? so it becomes a full frame car???

perhaps a pair of these would be handy to roll that around with..

and if you are going to push it outside... without the hood on it..  please scavenge a silicone seal from the Coil in the cap HEI distributor cap.. and place it on the air cleaner stud.. then the wing nut back on it.. that will slow down any rain water from dribbling into the carb via the air cleaner stud..

Diggin the Trek reference, Wayne. Thats a good one. Its just like that and just as rare an occasion! Like once per Captain?

I was thinking of the wheelbarrow thing, a couple handles on front of the body, Ha! No, we will have to build a jig ...

It gets an aftermarket full frame, fabricated firewall, floors, tubs, trunk floor. Plus roof skin and quarters due to rust! Thats about all I can say about that, but I thought this photo was a good example of how automobile construction is all about big components. Thats definitely the business end of the car.

The hood is back on. The clip will probably stay indoors but it would be fine outside if covered up.

it's to bad somebody didn't have a good back half to put on that front clip. i have a 74 but it wouid need quarters, floors, trunk and mabe some frame rails patched.

i did find an 80 turbo car with very little rust. will try and look at it this weekend.

i just watched a star trek movie the other night! it was not one of the good ones with kirk, spock and bones!!
