I have a '69 GTO with Parchment interior. The vinyl is grimy in places due to poor cleaning by yours truly over the years. Anyone know how I can effectively clean this off. The normal vinyl cleaners don't touch it. It looks like I need to strip it some how.

Try creme style hand cleaner like gojo, let it work a little while and scrub with a dry towel or soft vegetable brush. Try rubbing alcohol also, if its greasy. Just a couple different ideas that have worked for me in various situations, of course test in a small spot first. Welcome to the forum.

Window cleaners also works sometimes.  Hand cleaners often contain pumice and it is possible for it to scuff the plastic so test it before use it on a whole panel.

When I had my 62 I used Clorox with lots of water. Now it had been sitting 15-20 yrs. brought the white out nice. At you're own risk, lots of clean water.  T

Hey T:  the problem with bleach is that it will do bad things to the upholstery. Anything from removing the color to eating a hole.  It is a good option if the parts are out ...

409 spray has always worked for me - not too harsh but seems to do the job.
