I am looking to buy a good quality steering wheel for a 1960 full size. Specifically for a Bonneville but any full size should work. Extra paid for no cracks and blue color.
frankspontiacparts.com or in hemmings paper book, not online.
Epoxy is available for restoring cracked older steering wheels. Saw it used just last week, and when sanded, primed, and painted with normal refinish materials it seems to endure. Bumper repair material or even bondo may be a sufficient substitute. What I'm saying is that if you have a correct wheel to work with, repairs can likely be made to produce a like-new looking wheel for $500 or less by any caring bodyshop professional. I'm only talking about the colored plastic part, not other trim or padding. If the car mostly sits indoors and nobody bangs on the steering wheel, a good fix could last a lifetime.
Have you found a steering wheel I think I might have one will look for it tomorrow let me know if you still need it
