I have a 79 trans am that I am working on and its finally almost time to put her back on the street. it is a street/strip car with a Pontiac 400 bored and stroked to 469 ci. the build up of the motor consists of a forged crank, forged h beam rods, srp pistons, comp cams xr288hr hydraulic roller cam and lifters, kre aluminum d port heads, full roller rocker arms, and an edelbrock performer rpm intake, also the engine is 10.5:1 compression. any thoughts of what carb to use? I was looking into an 850 quickfuel. please let me know if this is not enough info. Thanks.
any type of annular boost venturi type carb in the 800 850 range. 850 quick fuel is max cfm imo.
