Ok guys, I just picked up an eagle 4.25 stroker crank and now I need some h-beams and pistons that will work with my 400, any recommendations? Need to keep this on the cheap.
hmm... there are several 4.25 cranks...http://www.eaglerod.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=36http://www.eaglerod.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=33&Itemid=40you will notice that there is a calculator in the right hand frame. to assist you in selecting the proper rod length.. and which piston specs you need..i am taking that you got the cast crank.. not the new forged cranks as shown on the upper link..please invest a few bucks in a dial indicator and stand.. so you can make sure.. that the crank is truly straight since it may not have come straight from the manufacturer..you might also want to carefully check the numbers or mic the main journals.. to make sure its a 400 stroker crank.. not a 455 stroker crank.. they make both..

The crank number is 40042502200-C, I picked it up from a local machine shop that ordered it in for a customer and he never showed, it's fresh. For rods I just ordered a set of Eagles 6800D, followed suite with some Mahle pistons BBP285155F06 Should be good to go, thanks for the help guys.
I'll throw in a damage report $1,222. including the crank and a free Summit hat.
as jim carrey in the MASK said..SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMOKIN'!
ok cool so far so good. free hat yeah!FYI that crank is likely not the correct size exactly. Have a shop check journal size and engine journal size as wayne suggested. check rods too but they should be good.you may know this but get it balanced.now we want to know what you are going to do for heads and cam.
For heads all I have laying around is a set of 6X, the car needs other work so I have to be cool and hold off on the Edelbrocks unless I run across a steal of a deal. The cam was already ordered for a 350 I was going to put together, it's a Thump'r kit. The car should still have decent street manors and the foundation is there to get dead serious when the time is right.
hiif you mean the cam is a comp cams "Thumper" cam then sell it on ebay and buy a real cam like a comp xe274h or lunati 60904.those thumper cams couldn't thump their way out of a paper bag, lol.
One things for sure... we're about to find out The clock is ticking
