Background:
I have a 1979 Trans AM that had a 403 olds engine and TH350 in it from the factory.  I have removed that old engine and acquired a 76 Pontiac 455 from someone and had a complete rebuild done on the engine.  I have the engine installed in the car, attached to the transmission ok, and got stalled on the plumbing.  I sent this off to a shop to get many things done and we are stuck on getting all the brackets setup on the front on the engine.  I have most of the brackets but cant figure out what I am missing.

I was lead to this site by google, as someone was asking about similar and got posts of the repair manual exploded view.  Does anyone have this?

Also, I have run into a number of issues so far, such as power steering pump clearance, fuel pump on the opposite side, shaker hood clearance, etc..  Anyone do the same and have any other tips?

Any assistance would be appreciated!

sure.. but in my opinion you did it the hard way... instead of going olds 403 to pontiac 455.. you should have gone directly to olds 455 which would have been an exact fit for everything..

franks pontiac parts has a web site with most of the brackets and pulleys you will need.. for your conversion..

let me see if i can find you something to assist you in selection..

oh... some of the 301 pontiac brackets will fit on the 455.. some will need to be redrilled as there are height differences in some areas..

Thanks for the links, I will check them out when I have more time.  Late here.

I wanted to have a Pontiac engine in the Pontiac.  Didn't want to go olds.  I usually never choose the easy route Smile

You don't happen to have a exploded view of the stock 455 pulleys do you?
